15L Bus Stop Improvements

MRS installed new shelters equipped with CCTV, real-time displays, and advanced communications systems. These upgrades enhance safety, provide timely information to passengers, and improve the overall quality of the transit system. The 15L systems project marked the first significant upgrade to the bus route in over 30 years. This corridor, along East Colfax, is RTD’s busiest and the enhancements significantly improve passenger experience.

In collaboration with RTD Capital Programs, Security, and Network departments, MRS coordinated the design, supply, testing, and commissioning of the systems scope for the new bus shelters. The shelters are now equipped with CCTV for enhanced security, passenger information displays providing real-time arrival and departure schedules, and advanced communications systems. These improvements provide the community with a safer, more efficient, and user-friendly transit service.
