McKalla Station

To meet the increasing transit needs in Austin, this project involved designing and constructing a CapMetro rail platform and double track which also allows two MetroRail vehicles to be stored, as needed. A side platform configuration with an event platform was created to accommodate large stadium crowds attending events at the adjacent Q2 Stadium, home to the city's Major League Soccer team.

MRS completed all necessary signal and Positive Train Control (PTC) updates and integration. This included installing communications fiber (vital and non-vital ring), dynamic message signs, emergency telephones, and security cameras, ensuring a modern, efficient, and safe transit system for Austin's expanding population.
