About the Project

Overview
This DART On-Call project provides ongoing support for the installation, repair, and replacement of critical transit systems across the DART network. The contract enables rapid response to routine, security-related, and emergency needs, ensuring system reliability, safety, and continuity of operations for light rail and bus services.

Scope of Work
Under this on-call contract, Modern Railway Systems (MRS) performs installation, repair, replacement, and modification services for a broad range of systems, including:

Traction power systems
Communications subsystems and fiber optic infrastructure
Light rail signaling systems
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
Fare collection systems
Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV)
Bus charging stations
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
Traffic Signal Priority (TSP)
Positive Train Control (PTC) systems

The work also includes miscellaneous system enhancements and modifications, many of which are security-related or emergency in nature.
